David Wegener serves as Partner and Deputy Managing Director. Since joining the firm in 2001, he has played a key role as a project leader, guiding major projects in Germany and abroad. His work primarily focuses on cultural buildings, office environments, and innovative interior design, underpinned by his drive for sustainability.

David shares his expertise as a guest lecturer at international conferences and symposia on sustainable and organizational building services concepts and future-oriented work environments. He studied architecture at the Technical University of Karlsruhe (KIT) and the Barcelona School of Architecture (ETSAB). Before joining sauerbruch hutton, he worked for thyssenkrupp AG and KPMG Consulting from 1998 to 2001.
