Falco Herrmann is a partner and has been responsible for a wide range of new construction and refurbishment projects across various fields since joining the practice in 2006. His focus lies in building within existing structures and in the preservation and adaptive reuse of existing buildings, with a particular emphasis on quality-oriented, resource-efficient planning and execution processes. He oversees quality, cost, and project management across all project phases, from competition through to completion.

Falco is a co-founder of SHift, the internal research and development group at sauerbruch hutton. He holds a degree in civil engineering and environmental technology from the Technical University of Hamburg-Harburg and expanded his expertise at the Indian Institute of Technology in Madras. After graduating in 2003, he started his career at Bothe Richter Teherani Architects in Hamburg before joining sauerbruch hutton.
