Peter Apel is a partner and has overseen numerous competitions and planning projects in Germany and internationally since joining the firm in 2001. His work focuses on buildings for cultural use as well as on building within existing structures (adaptive reuse). He develops projects comprehensively—from winning the competition through design and planning to completion.

Since 2018, Peter has led design studios in the international master’s program at the Dessau International Architecture Graduate School (DIA). Since 2022, he has been Professor of Architectural Design and Building Construction at Anhalt University of Applied Sciences in Dessau. Alongside his academic work, he regularly serves as a juror in architecture competitions and gives lectures on current architectural topics. He received his diploma from the Technical University of Berlin in 2001 and has been recognized with several awards for his work.
