Sibylle Bornefeld graduated from Technische Universität Berlin in 2005. Her career began in Zurich before joining Sauerbruch Hutton in 2007.

As a specialist in timber construction, Sibylle was instrumental in the design for the Hager Forum in Obernai. Among other projects, she was project manager for the award-winning Universal Design Quartier in Hamburg and the Luisenblock, a modular office building in timber construction for the German Parliament, which required a particularly short planning and construction period. She regularly participates as a speaker at conferences and symposiums. Sibylle has been a partner at Sauerbruch Hutton since 2020.
