This project is a polychromatic spatial installation for the presentation of Axel Hütte's photographs at the Arp Museum. Hütte's seemingly painterly works show sublime landscapes - He captures waters, mountains and glaciers in ‘Stille Weiten’, the title of the exhibition. His photographs are deserted images in which barely comprehensible natural phenomena are transformed into abstract structures. sauerbruch hutton has transferred the colour values of the images to the walls in slight variations for the presentation. Thanks to this wall design, the photographs appear to float and enter into a dialogue with the rooms.
