This high-rise marks the centre of the newly emerging Haidenauplatz district in eastern Munich. Alongside the iconic Hypo high-rise in the adjacent Bogenhausen district, it will be HypoVereinsbank's second central location. The new design interprets the open office landscapes of the metabolist predecessor building in a contemporary way.

The 15-story tower presents itself in different proportions, depending on the direction of one’s view: slender and vertically accentuated from the city centre, expansive and horizontal when approaching via the middle ring. The multi-faceted appearance is based on the plan form of a flat rhombus with rounded corners. The tapering building volume widens the adjacent street spaces and consequently creates a small forecourt on the north-west side, which forms the entrance.

An open staircase cascades within the spacious ground floor and invites visitors to linger in front of a bistro. A gently curving staircase in the elevator foyer leads to the restaurant and the event area. Above this are the office levels, which are arranged in U-shapes around both cores, with terraced atriums connecting vertically. Alternating floor cuts connect three office levels and create spaces of interaction and communication with areas for meetings, events and informal work. The two upper floors house a large conference area and rooftop restaurant with sweeping views over the city as well as the Alps.

With a stringent rhythm, the facade emphasizes the building's sweeping form. A vertical narrowing in the area of the atriums subtly structures the volume. In addition, the depth of the facade is reduced at the atria, making the quality of these unique spaces transparent from afar. The lesene, parapets and brise-soleil in front of the offices are clad in dark-coloured glass with integrated photovoltaics. Together with the use of geothermal energy and wood-concrete hybrid ceilings, they form a comprehensive sustainability concept. The monochrome colour scheme and high-quality materiality combine technology with elegance.
